Annual Banquet – The Macon
County Chamber of Commerce holds its annual banquet and auction night each
November. This is a good opportunity for networking - good food and
good fellowship.
Brochures – Provided by our
members, brochures are exhibited in office racks for visitors to Macon County.
Members’ brochures are mailed in answer to queries for relocation or tourism.
Calendar of Events – Members are
invited to include any special activities in the list of events that is
published by the Chamber and kept updated on
www.MaconCountyTN.com.
Grand Openings/Ribbon Cuttings – We
are always pleased to participate in events associated with the opening of new
or expansion of existing businesses. We provide ribbon, scissors, and contacts
when asked to participate.
Involvement – As a Chamber member,
you can volunteer to meet and network with other business and community leaders
by serving on Chamber committees.
Macon County Guidebook – This
Chamber-sponsored guide to services, events, etc. in our County contains
advertisements only from member businesses. It will be mailed to those who
inquire about the area and is available in our office to current residents.
Key Leadership – The Macon County
Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization with a Board of Directors
representing a cross section of the economic life and the geographic area of
Macon County.
Lists – A list of Chamber members
along with representatives, addresses, and phone numbers is available to all
Chamber members. Other lists provided through our office (upon request by
visitors) include members who offer overnight accommodations and restaurants.
Membership Meetings – Eight months
each year, luncheon membership meetings are held, providing excellent
opportunities for networking. Exchange business cards, sit beside a different
person each month, introduce yourself to the group and tell a few words about
your business, etc. while enjoying a delicious lunch at a reasonable cost.
Newsletter – Each month a
newsletter is mailed to Chamber members keeping them up-to-date on Chamber
activities. By providing “flyers” members can send information to each member in
a newsletter at minimal cost to the member by calling the Chamber office for
details and making prior arrangements.
Opportunity – If requested, we can
provide members with the opportunity to have names and addresses of persons who
have requested information through our office on relocating to the area.
Quality of Life – As a Chamber
member, you become a partner in decisions made to enhance our communities for
today and the future.
Tourism Promotion – When visitors
think of obtaining information, either before they travel or upon arrival, they
usually think of a Chamber. We mail or hand out thousands of brochures each year
on services, accommodations, restaurants, etc.
Welcome – As the “front door” to
the community, our Chamber welcomes newcomers, visitors, and all others making
inquiry of the community.
